Summer Landscaping: Garden Plants
Summer
Summer can be a great time of the year to plant some vegetables, grow your garden, and to landscape. One of the biggest summer challenges is the warm temperatures and climate. However, never fear! We can complete some fun landscaping this summer and make sure to grow some edible vegetables and plants together!
Summer is one of my favorite seasons, because you have longer lengths of daylight to go out outside, enjoy the fresh air, and start landscaping and creating your very own garden. the hot weather in the summer allows for some great vegetables and plants like corn and sweet potatoes to grow and flourish in abundance! You will be able to harvest your own summer feast in no time.
It is very important to note that landscaping can take a few hours depending on your backyard. Make sure to learn about summer time vegetables and plants to grow in your garden too! Stop by your local store’s gardening and landscaping section for plants, tools, and seeds. You can find instructional guides on gardening and landscaping too! It is really important to take your time to enjoy landscaping and gardening.
Landscaping and gardening can become a very relaxing activity, because you can be as creative as you want. You can grow beautiful pollinator plants and beautiful gardens in your backyard. Your backyard is your space, it is your to own and create!
Landscaping
Landscaping can be an incredibly fun adventure within itself! Be sure to look at your backyard and figure out where you can landscape. Landscaping can be completed very easily. Once you finish landscaping, you can find peace of mind knowing that your backyard is now a beautiful and scenic area that you can show off to your family and friends.
When you first landscape, make sure to visualize the area that you want landscaped. Just imagine how beautiful your future garden in your backyard will look like in a few weeks. It is simple and easy to landscape. Next, you will want to buy or borrow a tool to cut weeds. You can find tools at your local neighborhood store in the gardening and plant section.
Gardening
Gardening can be a fun activity with your family or a weekend activity to complete. When you begin landscaping, you can begin to think about your garden. Think about what plants you would like. Would you want only edible plants like okra and chili peppers? Or would you want to include plants that also beautify your backyard like sunflowers? That’s bring up the point that yes sunflowers are one of my favorite summer time plants, because they can grow tall, they look gorgeous, and they pull the iron out of the ground. Sunflowers provide a welcoming sense to your backyard and provide a place for pollinators like bees to thrive and live in.
You will want to start learning about how to garden and about your local plants and seed banks. You can find incredible low prices for seeds that will produce a beautiful garden. Learn about your plants and which ones produce most vegetables or which ones bloom at different times of the year too! What is the best part of creating and producing your very own garden? It is knowing that you can grow your own food, you can have a beautiful backyard area, and you can have fresh vegetables too! This can be a very exciting process!
To create your garden, first make sure to plant a few vegetables that can survive the hot weather. Some of these yummy vegetables include eggplant, chili peppers, and corn! This is so exciting, because with growing your very own eggplant you can start serving freshly made and prepared Italian dishes right at home! Look to the family chef for delicious entrees and plates, especially once you have a garden full of fresh, edible plants!
Other great yummy vegetables that grow in the hot summer weather months include green beans, sweet potatoes, and watermelons. I feel that summer is really a fun time to grow and produce fresh vegetables and fruits for your family gatherings and picnics. These vegetables are really easy to grow! They are easy to cultivate and harvest too! Also, they are great to eat with entrée dishes at your home and in the outdoors.
Preparation
So the question of the day is… how to prepare for your beautiful garden? I once too wondered how to grow and produce some fresh edible plants! For beginners, make sure to clear and clean your backyard up. Second, pull those pesky weeds right from your area where you will landscape. This is a very important step to note. When cutting those weeds, make sure to pull them out fully. Next, shovel a few holes and grab your soil. You can start with a handful of soil in each area. Also pick up some fertilizer from your local store’s gardening section this will help you in the long run to grow healthy and edible vegetables and plants.
You will want to lay out your seeds of choice into the soil and bury it fully into the ground. Since it is very hot weather, make sure to water during the cool hours of the day. This will save you time and energy. Make sure to water your plants and vegetables! They will be very thirsty in the hot summer weather months!
Nurture your plants and vegetables. Make sure they grow healthy. Check up on them each day. Continue to water your beautiful plants. Also, make sure to try your best effort to conserve as much water as you possibly can during these hot weather months.
Finally, at the end of the hot weather months make sure to harvest as much of your garden as you can. You will have delicious and edible fruits and veggies in no time! Have fun with your summer landscaping and garden too!
