Background into Breaking Bad
Breaking Bad is a drama series based on the character of Walt White, played by Bryan Cranston, who in season one is a high school chemistry teacher. He finds out he has terminal cancer. With his family relying on his income, he decides to ask his former student Jesse Pinkman, played by Aaron Paul, to help create meth for additional income. This series follows different character arcs and includes diverse, incredible acting cast members. Also, this series includes five seasons and 62 episodes. Some episodes such as “The Fly” and “Granite State” as notable for the directors involved, the actors performing great, and the dialogues being very moving and on point.
Breaking Bad has positively influenced the town and culture of Albuquerque, New Mexico during its half a decade series run. The local economy has greatly benefitted from a growth in tourism, and Breaking Bad had opened more avenues for other directors to choose Albuquerque as their place for their film making. The beauty of Albuquerque is present throughout the episodes; you can see the Sandia Mountains, local restaurants, parking lots, even a carwash in this series. These places are really recognizable in the episodes.

Next, the crystal blue meth featured in the series has inspired local candy shops to create a rock candy that is crystal blue. Even a local Albuquerque doughnut shop has place blue rock candy on their doughnuts and named their creation after a Breaking Bad character.
