Twinkle Light Parade An Albuquerque Tradition
You may have heard of winter holiday traditions taking place in Albuquerque’s Rio Grande Valley. One of the most festive and fun events is the Twinkle Light Parade! Albuquerque’s Nob Hill District, full of shops, activities, and restaurants, is home to the Twinkle Light Parade.
The Twinkle Light Parade is an annual holiday tradition and takes place towards the beginning of the festive month of December. Be sure to check out information online about the day and time of the Twinkle Light Parade! You will not want to miss this spectacular event. This is a fun activity for the entire family to enjoy.
The Twinkle Light Parade begins about sunset and the fun continues throughout the entire evening. Be sure to look up information online about parking and gaining access to the event. This is a free event and there is parking too.
Twinkle Light Parade Route
The Twinkle Light Parade starts on the eastern edge of Nob Hill off of Central Ave and continues west towards Girard Blvd. This more than a mile long route provides a great evening full of fun and laughter as you see more than 90 floats and countless performers.
Some floats include classic cars, motorcycles, decorated floats by UNM student organizations, possibly musical marching bands, and many other performers who dance in the middle of the street. Be sure to arrive early to the Albuquerque Nob Hill District so you can enjoy a great view of the Parade.
Nob Hill District
The Albuquerque Nob Hill District hosts this annual tradition of the Twinkle Light Parade every year. Once the parade is on route and finished, you can find a great local restaurant such as Flying Star Café or the local favorite of Scalo Northern Italian Grill for a great dining experience and meal.
The restaurants along the Nob Hill District and off of Central Ave all have great selections of food, specialty menus, and seasonal meals too. Be sure to take a look around and stop for a meal after the Albuquerque the Parade is over.

There is a contest and the winner receives a cash prize too. Make sure that your float and entry is prepared to make an awesome impression and to have a fun evening. Floats can be decorated with lights and you can have music played too.
