What the heck is going on in the Rio Rancho housing market? The number of Rio Rancho homes sold in July 2014 declined by 19.66% compared to July 2013. That is a huge decline in year over year statistics. The number of Rio Rancho homes sold in July 2014 declined to 143 homes compared to 178 homes in July 2013. By comparison the number of homes sold in Albuquerque declined by 11.99% for the same period.
What is more amazing is that the median price for homes in the Rio Rancho housing market increased by 16.58% in July 2014 compared to July 2013. The median price in the Rio Rancho housing market stands at $175,000.
The average price for a home in the Rio Rancho housing market increased by 7.57% to $191,803 in July 2014 compared to July 2013. The average home price in the Rio Rancho NM housing market was $178,300 in July 2013.
The inventory of Rio Rancho homes for sale increased to 804 homes in July 2014, an increase of 15.68% over July 2013. The number of new listings increased by 7.46% to 288 in July of 2014 compared to July 2013.
